2015 Canadian National Show Results 

The Canadian Trail courses were the hardest in 5 years of going to any Nationals, with many jumps, a trellis, water hazard and very complex tight combinations. It took a lot of heart to even get through it—there were a number of zeroes in Open and Amateur. We were so proud of our brave, Varian bred horses and our Half Arabs Duns Smokey Lady, “Lady” and “Deuce” aka Stars and Stripes SF.
 
The Rancho Sonado crew, led by Jill Mitchell, did super well at Canadian Nationals this year.
2 National Champions + 2 Reserve National Champions in Trail; 19 Top Tens Overall in Trail and Sport Horse with 5 horses showing.

Chicago Chaps RS
(Jullyen el Jamaal x SC Chipawa Chinks x Desperado)

Won the PB Trail Championship Open decisively, with Romance V (McClintock V x Ravven’s Skylark) going Top Ten.
Chaps is now a 3 time National Champion, having won Futurity and Jr. Trail Horse at US in 2013 with Courtney Spicer.

Top Ten in Dressage Type Geldings in-Hand ATH with Nan
 
Dun’s Smokey Lady

Won her first National Championship in Half-Arabian Open Trail with Jill.
 
Close on her heels was Stars and Stripes SF +//
(Allionce’s Knight x Starry Spumoni) who was Res Ch behind Lady.
 
Romance V
Also got Top Tens in both Open and ATH Sport Horse In-Hand
She missed Reserve Champion by one point with Nan handling in “Hunter Type” class with many beautiful, athletic mares!
She also got a Top Ten in “Dressage Type” class with Nan.
